A Bubbly Good Time at Baby Highfield
After a summer break, Baby Highfield, our free, term-time parent and baby group, is returning! The first session of the term takes place on Friday 15th September from 9:30am – 10:30am.
Colouring, Counting, and Calculation!
Pre-School children put their counting skills on display as they recapped the numbers 1-10; demonstrated their pencil control by colouring-in animals; and engaged in play with number blocks.
Pre-School Get Crafty
Making the most of the summer weather, Foundation children took to the Highfield Pre-School garden to enjoy lots of fun water play and creative crafts, putting paint to paper on easels like true artists!
Overcoming Obstacles
Foundation practised balancing along an obstacle course in the garden, specially made by the teachers. The children had great fun working together as a team to add to the course.
A Mystery Reader
Pre-School children have enjoyed ‘Mystery Reader’ story time this year, delighting in guessing the storyteller. An enthusiastic dad read ‘The Runaway Pea’ book to the group to mark the final tale of the term.
Puddle and Strife for Holiday Club!
Despite the wet weather, summer is anything but a washout for the EYFS Holiday Club at Highfield, as the recent puddle-splashing activities were met with laughs of, “There’s a flood in my wellies!”
