LATEST NEWS FROM HLC

Foundation have been busy gardening this week, taking care of all our vegetables. We spoke about all the different vegetables we are growing and what they need to grow. 

Transition enjoyed their buzzy bee yoga session with Mrs Wheeler. They practised balancing in different positions on their mat and used colourful scarves to fly like a bee before landing on their flowers.

Foundation have loved exploring the willow garden this week. The children practised their balancing skills walking along the tree trunk stepping stones. 

On Thursday, Transition visited Hesketh Farm on their first school trip. We spent the morning looking at the animals, feeding the calves and lambs and collecting eggs. 

Transition children enjoyed baking Hot Cross Buns for their Recipe of the Month, where they worked in groups to combine the ingredients. Fresh from the oven, each child took home their Easter-themed bake.

Foundation have been busy baking chocolate Easter nests this week. They did a super job. Their favourite part was having a taste at the end!
