Pre School and Nursery Facilities

Harrogate’s Highfield Pre-School and Nursery occupies a large Victorian house on Duchy Road.  Our buildings are adjacent to Harrogate Ladies’ College and Highfield Prep School. Set within its own private grounds, Highfield Pre-School has a unique home from home environment with excellent facilities designed to inspire and develop pre-school children.

Our nursery and pre school facilities include:

  • Large airy rooms with the flexibility to accommodate all types of activities

  • The largest outdoor space of any nursery in Harrogate

  • A separate Dining Room

  • An interactive Sensory Room accessible to all children

  • Interactive touch boards to enhance the learning experience

  • A private car park right outside for safe, secure and convenient drop off and collection

Additional Facilities at Harrogate Ladies’ College

As part of a larger family of schools, Highfield Pre-School children also enjoy access to a wide range of unique facilities at Harrogate Ladies’ College and Highfield Prep School  including:

  • College drama theatre (or Small Hall) for concerts and events such as our Nativity Plays

  • College Sports Hall equipped with specialist pre-school apparatus

  • Outdoor sports facilities for Sports Days

  • College Assembly Hall for indoor PE and music

  • College Chapel for religious celebrations and festivals such as Harvest, Easter and Christmas

“The facilities are fantastic! The children have space to confidently play, (make a mess!) explore and learn. There is a lovely atmosphere and an endless supply of things to capture their imagination and interest”

Highfield Pre-school Parent

We have a full time dedicated Estates Team which expertly maintains our facilities to an exceptionally high standard. As a not-for-profit organisation, we also invest our profits back into the pre school itself and make on-going investments in our facilities, play equipment and resources.
