Full-time Head of Geography (Maternity Cover) for September 2025
Overview of Role
Harrogate Ladies’ College was founded 126 years ago and is an independent school with a Church of England foundation offering day, boarding and weekly boarding. The School is a member of the Girls’ School Association teaching boys and girls aged 2-11 and girls 11 -18 years. We are delighted that in 2024, independent ISI inspectors confirmed that we met all standards across all areas from 2 to 18 years.
We are looking for an inspiring leader to cover the running of our Geography department and be part of our Heads of Department team during a maternity leave. In addition to an excellent degree/relevant qualifications and strong record as a classroom practitioner, the applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to think strategically, organise other people, communicate needs and plans to the Senior Leadership Team and motivate others. Strong administrative skills will be essential. High standards are expected of staff as well as pupils and we all strive to ‘be the best that we can be’.
