Parents & Friends

The Parents and Friends of HLC brings parents and other friends of the School together to promote its interests amongst the parent body.  It acts not only as a fund-raiser to assist the School in purchasing items which might not readily gain inclusion in its ordinary budget, but also as a social organisation, promoting activities which enable parents to get to know each other and have fun.  It also provides assistance at some school events throughout the year.

All parents are members of HLC’s Parents and Friends and they are asked to pay a voluntary contribution of £10 per term to support it.  The association is led by an elected committee, which meets regularly in the evening in the School Library.  The AGM takes place in the Autumn Term.

  • ‘New’ Parents’ Brunch – on the first morning of the academic year, providing a good opportunity to meet up with other parents of new HLC pupils.

As well as having provided refreshments at events such as the Advent Service and House and School drama productions, Parents and Friends have also organised several lively evenings for parents, including Wine Tasting, Quizzes, Race Nights, a Robbie Williams Tribute Band and in June 2011, a most successful whole school Butterfly Ball.
