Autumn Enthusiasts
Our EYFS children are always full of the joys of any season, and Autumn is no exception. They have had great fun counting, feeling, drawing and describing the fallen leaves.
Hallowe’en Holiday Club
Our Holiday Club children have had a fantastic fortnight of activities, with lots of baking and outdoor games. This week they have enjoyed preparing for Hallowe’en!
Aspirin(g) Chemists
Upper 6 Chemists have been applying their knowledge of acylation reactions in preparing samples of aspirin. Students also researched the history of aspirin and implications for medical use.
In the Thick of It
Prep 6 pupils had a great time at Forest School, exploring the Pinewoods and completing several team challenges to develop their communication and teamwork skills.
Close to Nature
Upper 6 Biologists enjoyed a field trip to Malham Tarn to practise field study techniques and identify different plant and animal species. They carried out surveys using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Family Reunion
HLC hosted a rather special coffee morning to welcome back some of our old girls, all of whom are now either parents or grandparents of children currently in our schools.
