Children aged from 2 to 11 years lined the parade route and waved their hand-made palm leaves to welcome Nellie the donkey as she walked to the school chapel.

The parade was followed by a special Palm Service in Chapel led by the School Chaplain, Jo Wright.   Nellie the donkey chose to wait outside!

James Savile, Head of Highfield said,

“Celebrations like Palm Parade are an important part of life at Highfield. Our school is founded on Christian values, but we are proud to welcome children of all faiths and none.  We aim to teach our children to have a respect and understanding of all faiths and celebrations like our Palm Service play an important role in this.  Seeing all of our children come together in this way is really quite special!”
