Specialist Cells

Upper 3 pupils made excellent models of specialist cells in Biology. Their models demonstrated their understanding of how cells are adapted for their functions. 

Boarding Adventures

Our Boarders enjoyed a fun weekend with a range of activities including movie nights, hot chocolates, quiz evenings, and a trip to the Trafford Centre in Manchester for some much-needed retail therapy. 

Sixth Form Visit Parliament

Some of our Sixth Form students enjoyed an inspiring visit to the UK Parliament the other week, where they explored both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. 

Lower 4 Spread Christmas Cheer

L4 performed Christmas songs and solos to the residents of Hampden House nursing home last week. All the pupils sang and played well, then chatted to the residents over refreshments. 

A Step into Brontë Country

Our English trip to Haworth brought the world of the Brontës vividly to life, where pupils began with a guided history walk through the village, tracing the footsteps of Charlotte, Emily and Anne. 

Day in the Life of Food & Nutrition

L4 explored the topic of cross-contamination whilst making the ever-popular ‘Marry Me Chicken’, and a rich beetroot and chocolate brownie. Our U4 have been focusing on macronutrients and making energy balls!
