Over the last two weeks at Bankfield we have been learning :-
:- The shape, ‘Square’.
:- The letters ‘l’ and ‘b’.
-: The children have been learning about different cultures and celebrations. The First being Chinese New Year and ‘The year of the Dragon’. The Children tried noodles at snack time which they all really enjoyed. They loved opening their fortune cookies and finding out what was inside – A huge novelty. They dressed up and pretended to be a dragon in the garden.
Second was Robert Burns Day. The children ate Haggis, Skirlie, Shortbread and Tablet. They were taught and participated in a Scottish dance called ‘The Gay Gordons’ and listened to the teacher ‘Address the Haggis and read a Robert Burns poem’.
The majors have also been wrapping up warm and enjoying some lovely crisp winter walks around the school grounds. During one of the walks we stopped off at the HLC gym for some indoor games with lots of space to run around.
