Enthusiastic pupils took a literary tour of the Lake District, where they visited William Wordsworth‘s homes, and embarked on a poetry walk, reading from journals of famous wordsmiths as they strolled through the scenery.

Puddle and Strife for Holiday Club!

Despite the wet weather, summer is anything but a washout for the EYFS Holiday Club at Highfield, as the recent puddle-splashing activities were met with laughs of, “There’s a flood in my wellies!”

Prep 2 Go Wild!

Prep 2 visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where pupils handled camel fur, and lion, capybara, and polar bear skulls; and touched cockroaches, a corn snake, and African snails, enhancing their Science work on habitats and adaptations.
