Lower 6 thoroughly enjoyed their induction day with a trip to Log Heights. The students had a super fun day, swinging from the trees and taking on Jacob’s Ladder;  a real test of team work!

After a summer break, Baby Highfield, our free, term-time parent and baby group, is returning! The first session of the term takes place on Friday 15th September from 9:30am – 10:30am.

Reception enjoyed their topic ‘Looking After Our Planet’, learning about whales and creating some super whale artwork using the book, ‘The Snail and the Whale’ as the focus for their work.

With a passion for Dance in the air at College, The HLC Dance Company is ready to return for a new term in the newly-refurbished Swinton Theatre, with lots of performance opportunities on the horizon. 

Pre-School children put their counting skills on display as they recapped the numbers 1-10; demonstrated their pencil control by colouring-in animals; and engaged in play with number blocks. 

Highfield’s EDI Group welcomed a fellow pupil’s mother to talk about her upbringing in Zimbabwe. They learned the importance of being thankful for resources like the NHS, tap water, electricity, and a good education.
