Special Events

Special events at Highfield add to the academic curriculum and allow the pupils to experience a variety of activities which stimulate and enrich their learning.

The year starts with the Clover Cup and Summer Barbecue, which allows all the children in the school to take part in a football tournament and also encourages involvement and participation from parents.

Throughout the year we hold themed House events, take trips out around the local area and abroad, and allow outside drama agencies and history based companies to come in to work alongside the pupils. There are opportunities for pupils to get involved in creativity afternoons, performance assemblies, speech and drama festivals and also to celebrate significant days of the year such as World Book Day.

There are many enrichment opportunities outside the curriculum and children have the chance to take part in musical and theatre workshops over the weekend.
