Children in Highfield children develop their special interests and talents through a range of extra-curricular activities. In addition to team coaching and fixtures, many sports clubs are available to all Key Stage 2 children. These vary with the season and include football, rugby, tag-rugby, netball, high fives, hockey, rounders, athletics, swimming and water polo.
We also offer a varied selection of more cerebral pursuits for children from Prep 1 to Prep 6. They vary to some extent according to the interests of staff and the enthusiasms of pupils, but they often include activities such as arts and crafts, magazine publishing, chess club, reading club, First Aid, Maths clubs and a gardening and Eco club.
A booklet is sent out each term listing the clubs and to which age-groups they are available, so that parents can balance school activities with home activities, including homework which is set from Prep 3.
