“There are three cardinal rules — don’t take somebody else’s boyfriend unless you’ve been specifically invited to do so, don’t take a drink without being asked, and keep a scrupulous accounting in financial matters.” W. H. Auden
Accounting is taught in the new HLC Business School, which is an indicator of the importance HLC places on entrepreneurial education.
Accounting is a popular choice at AS and A2 level and the syllabus is designed to give an introduction to basic accounting techniques and financial management ideas. It includes practical and analytical aspects of financial accounting and provides an excellent basis for the pursuit of a career in business management, finance or economics.
Many girls studying Accounting also choose to become part of the School’s Enterprise Scheme which gives them first hand experience of managing and running their own business.
