Outstanding Inspection by Independent Schools Council
The Inspectors commented that the results achieved by HLC were quite exceptional and in their overall conclusions observed:-
‘In all three schools there is a strong sense of community. Pupils have a great pride in their school and are happy, confident, outgoing and articulate. The open and tolerant ethos of the school is exemplified by the supportive and friendly relationships that exist between pupils and staff. The personal development of pupils of all ages and their pastoral care is outstanding. Each school enjoys strong links with parents, and good and growing links with the wider community have also been established. A high level of academic achievement is reflected in the standards achieved in public examinations and the quality of work that was seen. It is a product of both hard work and positive attitudes of the pupils and of effective teaching.’
