
Our new Headmistress, Mrs Rhiannon Wilkinson, has just taken on her new post at the start of this academic term.
Mrs Wilkinson joins Harrogate Ladies’ College from Haileybury School in Hertfordshire where she was Senior Mistress (Deputy Head). She is now the Head and Chief Executive of the Harrogate Ladies’ College group of schools comprising more than 620 pupils and including Highfield Prep School and Bankfield Pre School.
Mrs Wilkinson is a graduate of St Hugh’s College, Oxford with an MA in Modern History. She also holds a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) from the University of Bath, and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Manchester.
Prior to joining Haileybury, Mrs Wilkinson spent four years as Deputy Principal at Jerudong International School in Brunei and has also taught in Hong Kong, where she spent six years as Head of Sixth Form and History.
Mrs Rhiannon Wilkinson is married to Donald who is Principal and Chief Executive of the British School in Riyadh. They have four children between them, Rachael, Ian, William and Edward. Rachael is a doctor training to be a Psychiatrist and is married to a doctor, Ian works in the pensions industry. William is studying for his GCSEs and Edward has just started secondary school.

Her experience in both overseas and boarding environments is perfect for the Harrogate Ladies’ College group of schools and she is the ideal person to steer our development through this period of significant educational, cultural and economic change”.
