Alumnae
The Community is much wider than just the College pupils and staff. When they leave, girls are encouraged to join the Harrogate College Union and the HCU now has over 3,500 members. They take a lively interest in College affairs and we are pleased to host their biennial service and act as a focus via email and newsletter.
Harrogate College Union
We've lost track of many HCU members. Details are listed on Lost Members.

Many old girls keep track of each other via the HCU Chronicle published after Christmas each year. This College web site gives you another way.
Contact the College and it'll appear here. Addresses and phone numbers included with the message will not be shown unless you ask, but they will be available from College. Just remember to let me know when you're reunited so I can take the message off. Digital pictures are very welcome also. Try www.friendsreunited.co.uk also.
The first ‘HLC Far East Asia Alumnae’ Gathering in Hong Kong
On the last Saturday of half term, a group of twenty seven former HLC students met
with Mr & Mrs Hazell and Mr Horton in the Police Officers’ club, Hong Kong, to have
lunch and renew old friendships. They travelled from as far away as Japan to take
part and ranged in ‘seniority’ from leaving the upper sixth in 1988 to 2006. As could
be expected, the main topics of conversation ranged over how HLC had changed
over the years and what was planned for the future. It soon became clear that no
matter what subject they had studied at university, they had all found their particular
niche in professional life and were making full use of their many and varied talents.
Several new ideas emerged from conversations during and after the meal, including
a desire to create a mechanism for keeping in touch with each other and the school
and possibly repeating the exercise in a few years, with an even larger number of
attendees. To this end, we hope to set up a web page for the group and also e-mail
them with school publications such as In Form and this bulletin.
